"Hi Po 289 H.O." essentially a de-stroked 1989 5.0 mustang engine to 289 cubic inches (using 1967 components), with the latest (2001) and greatest iron heads (GT40P) and Isky billet roller cam with more and quicker lift.

Finally after 7 years I have the long block installed in my car! After bolting it to the cherry picker it left its crib of 1 year: the engine stand. The next steps were bolting up the SFI Billet Steel flywheel, pressing a new pilot bearing in, and installing a new throw out bearing. I get the details that I can to reduce the possibility of suffering later! The next task was installing the new Centerforce II CFT360057 pressure plate and 381021 clutch. After install I can say that the clutch pedal turned out to require significantly more force than the previous setup: OEM 1993 Mustang Cobra clutch setup. The pedal is stiff for the first 1/6 of the throw then gets easier and easier the more you press down. Good to know, but now its in there.....
